Interesting article over at Marketing@Retail – A good resource for retail centric Digital Signage Info and research.

Marketing@Retail

I’ve made some comments in the past on the disparate and competitive approaches to Digital Signage Metrics and Associations in the past and how they aren’t playing nice, which really only hurts the industry…I’m now eating crow :)

Turns out what I see as the two major leaders in the in-store retail metric game are starting to work together. POPAI vs the In-Store Marketing Institute.

Their comments and disparate ideas and approaches to measurement are now seen as complimentary. While I wasn’t such a big fan of PRISMs original study and approach, the new study, PRISM II, shows promise. I’m going to be watching this one closely as we all should be very interested in the results.

The article from Marketing@Retail on the topic can be found here: http://209.200.32.125/publish/news/At-Retail_Metric_Studies_Ramp_Up_for_Spring.php

While the text on the site is really hard to read, it’s worthwhile for the news and info.
