Neat post on Gizmag about the AdMirror, which some of you may have already seen. Apparently the system has 63% Ad recall (brands start drooling here)
Ultimately it’s just a backlight powered mirror which flashes one of six images but was thinking, if they could get video done in the same way, it could be pretty powerful.
Take it one step further and include motion tracking and…hmm…that might not work so well in a bathroom…
Article is here. Video below. The company that makes it is here.

AdMirror steps into a long line of creative solutions for the bathroom environment. Admedia has offered talking posters – the most famous one is where an A.I. driven Borat has a very basic but hilarious conversation with the bathroom visitor. For the latest James Bond film ‘Casino Royale’ they ran a campaign that transformed bars into the film set. Lifesize stickers of the stars enacting dramatic scenes from the film were strategically placed in the environment, with snipers lurking on the back of bathroom doors, bullet hole-stickers adorning the mirrors, and the bars itself dressed up as the Casino Royale (you’ll find an image of this campaign here: http://www.admedia.co.uk/blog/uploaded_images/casino_royal_advert-768451.jpg - for a startling moment it appears that Bond and Eva Green are really sitting there… (feel free to email me if you want me to write more info on this project).
Currently Admedia is in talks with a Danish company, to serve holographic projections in its advertising environments. I am working with them as a consultant, and we are creating a virtual dance teacher who teaches you some quintessential moves. This is just a demonstration demo, but in the future we hope to project floating logos, or even Spiderman swinging by for a visit. Wouldn’t that be a topic of conversation?
