An article just came out today that reported that Microsoft

MS

Is pulling a bit of a GM (see GM’s $600 Million Smackdown for details)

Apparently, Mich Matthews, senior vice president of Microsoft’s central marketing group, announced that,

“We’re actually pretty confident that by 2010, the majority of our media mix will shift to digital.”

Microsoft spent almost $1 Billion in Marketing dollars in 2005. Even if they only move 10% out to digital alone, that’s a $100 Million dollar decrease for traditional.

You’ve got to know, with the response they received for their JFK Brand Immersion thing, they’re going to be looking closely at Digital Signage.
